Steampunk

Hi everyone! today I have had loads of fun creating this piece.
I must say I really enjoyed it.

Firstly I had used a Tim Holtz Die to cut the top out of grey board.
I then cut white card and stuck it onto cardboard to strengthen.

Next I used distress inks blended onto the card. Once satisfied I then flicked
water over the surface.

I then used Tim Holtz number stamp in different inks and angles over the
the distressed card.

Next I used the spider web stencil from Tim's stencils and sponged
Frayed Burlap ink through the stencil.

I then took my Steampunk stamps and randomly stamped over  the card.

I cut a piece of foam board to fit underneath to lift the whole piece to give
depth not forgetting to paint the sides with black acrylic.

I had inked and stamped the ruler onto separate card and cut out to fit.

The steam punk wings were stamped onto fresco painted card stock with
 Stazon black ink.

Two further cogs stamps were stamped onto the Fresco painted card.

One was placed under the steampunk wings.

Watch parts and cogs from my stash were used over the top.

The steampunk banner was stamped onto black card and embossed with
pewter embossing powder. Then backed onto craft card that
was distressed around the sides.

The second cog image one was part embossed and then cut out and placed
on the bottom.

Over this I glued the second ruler image.

Then glued small cogs over the image and the ruler.

the edges i finished of with pewter Treasure gold, after they had been
distressed with a blade.

Finally brads were placed in the bottom corners.

I hope you all enjoyed reading this post. I think I am now finally
getting better and hope to be back to my job soon.
As always thank you so much for stopping by
and please leave me a comment to
let me know what you think.
Happy Stamping!

Gothic Lady Card 2

Hi everyone as promised my second card using the Lynne Perrella stamps
I hope you are inspired by this piece.

Firstly I put glitter paste through a memory box stencil on the mid left
hand side and the base on the right.

Next I painted the beer matt with a mix of dolly mix and
chalk Fresco Finish Paint

I then stamped the lady of the Lynne Perrella 028 plate
 with grey Stazon.

I put Vaseline over the areas that I wanted to come through and then
painted over with a Amethyst and Squid Ink.

I highlighted around the eyes and picked up other details with chalk.

I then used the ledger stencil and put Viva Ferro through it on the top right
and bottom left.

I had an old metal stencil in my stash and used this on the top right.
I finished of by highlighting it with pewter Treasure Gold.

Finally I added two beads from my stash, and I backed onto a small card.
Well that's it for today! I hope you have all enjoyed this card
Please feel free to leave a comment.
Happy stamping!

Lynne Parella Stamp in pastels

Hi everyone its me again, guess what I have recently purchased
yes you have got it two lynne parella stamp sets.

So get ready for a few projects using these sets.

Firstly I used a beer matt and put grunge paste through a harlequin stencil, then viva decor
glitter paste through a memory box small texture diamond stencil.

I then painted the beer matt with chalk white fresco finish paint, then using
my finger I bended dolly mix and ice blue.

I used Amethyst and lake Wanaka on the Lynne Perrella
script stamp of the 028 set.

I used a Tim Holtz die cut small arch of the movers and shakers sets.
I painted it with fresco finish paints in chalk and dolly mix.

I then put Vaseline over the area's I wanted to show through. next I painted over the
whole piece with Teal, and then Amethyst I also lightened
with dolly mix where I wanted it.

I used treasure gold in White Fire round the edges of both the arch,
beer matt and over the grunge paste.

I then used the small rosette Die from the Tim Holtz.

I then placed a diamonte gem in the centre of the rosette.

I really hope you all enjoyed this piece today and I look forward to reading your
Feedback, so don't forget to leave a comment when you visit.
Thanks for piping by

Jo Firth Young stamp with home made embellishments

Same stamp in red.

Art Tag

Hi everyone, I hope you are all enjoying the summer and making the most of the
lovely weather we have been having.

Today I bring you a tag which has been coloured,
blended distress inks.

Spiced Marmalade, Rusty hinge, Broken china and Faded jeans,
were all blended off a craft mat onto a manilla tag.

Metallic ferro from viva deco was used through a CW stencil.

Black card was put through a Tim Holtz die.

taking a white pen i wrote butterflies on the art die cut card. mainly to cover
as the glue had got onto the front of the die cut.

I stamped the Tim Holtz stamps on the bottom and the small
butterfly's up the left hand side of the tag.

On a separate piece of card I restamped the butterfly and embossed it.

I glued the two bits over the tag and highlighted with treasure
gold.

For the main body of the butterfly I used beads from my stash.

Well that's it for today. Thank you for reading through I would love to read your
thoughts on my work so please don't be shy and as I am house
bound at the moment it will give me something to do and
I could pop over and visit your blog's.

Gothic Lady

Hi everyone hope you are all well I have been trawling all
the blogs reading up and came across one
on the Paperartsy blog.

It was by the very talented Lisbeth using the "peeled paint"
technique with fresco Finish paints.

Firstly I put grunge paste through a stencil and dried it
with my heat gun. Then I coloured it in with
 oil pastilles.

Next using Lynne Perrella Stamps, Vasaline, fresco finish Paint
and Stazon ink.

Grunge paste through a stencil.

Lots of treasure gold.

Lots of embellishments from my stash.

Star shell buttons.

I have just noticed that the bead under the ornamental triangle
had slipped so sorry for that!

I plaited loosely a brass chain and fabric to make the
rope to hang it from.

I hope you have all enjoyed this piece please leave me your comments as I enjoy reading
 them and receiving your feedback.
